Coxevac
Coxevac is an inactivated phase 1 vaccine designed to protect against Q Fever. As a result, vaccination can effectively minimise bacterial shedding.
Used in cattle to lower the risk of non-infected animals becoming shedders of Coxiella burnetii, and to reduce overall shedding on infected farms via milk, faeces and vaginal mucus.
In goats and sheep, to reduce abortion caused by Coxiella burnetii and to reduce shedding of the bacterium via milk, vaginal mucus, faeces and placenta.

Why choose
Coxevac?
Fewer abortions
Vaccinated cows are 30% less likely to abort when compared to unvaccinated herds1
Less shedding
Lowers the probability of an animal becoming a shedder by 5 times and reduces the shedding of C. burnetii 2 decreasing the impact of the disease in the herd
Reduces environmental load
Whole herd vaccination reduces the bacterial load across the herd, reducing the environmental burden, so reducing the risk of other animals and humans being exposed to the pathogen3,4
Reduces the impact on reproduction
Effectively reduces the reproductive impact of Q Fever by decreasing abortion rates1, increasing pregnancy rates, and reducing days open5.
Supports the Immunity
Coxevac vaccine induces optimal cellular and humoral immune responses
